Institutes of Technology set to get over €14million complete minor capital works

The Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin T.D., announced funding of €14.3million for the country’s Institutes of Technology to enable them to do minor capital works such as window replacements, roof repairs, mechanical and electrical upgrades to ensuring access for all and addressing urgent health and safety projects.

The National Stategy on Higher Education

In 2009, the then Minister for Education and Science, Mr Batt O’Keeffe, T.D. announced the establishment of a high level strategy group under the Chairmanship of Dr Colin Hunt, Managing Director of Macquarie Capital (Europe) Advisers, to develop a strategy for higher education in Ireland.  That strategy was formally launched by  Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Ms.
