Dormant Accounts Funding for the Development of Access Services in the Institute of Technology Sector
Dormant Accounts are accounts in financial institutions (banks, building societies and An Post) that have not been used, or insurance policies that have not been used, or insurance policies that have not been reclaimed by their owners for at least 15 years.

This plan is intended as a significant contribution to the national objective of achieving greater equality of access to and participation in higher education. It follows directly from the 2005-2007 Action Plan on Equity of Access to Higher Education and from the 2001 Report of the Action Group on Access to Third Level Education.
