Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions Cycle 5
The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen TD, announced on the 16 July 2010 a €359 million investment plan for research and innovation which will create jobs and new enterprises and drive Ireland's economic recovery. The Government's Programme for Research in Third-Level Institutions (PRTLI) invests in physical infrastructure and research projects in our higher education institutions.

Research Programmes
The HEA’s commitment to higher education research is testament to the significant investment that has been made to date in programmes designed to enhance the research capabilities, capacity and infrastructure of Ireland’s higher education institutions.
