The decade since 1998 has been an extraordinary period of Transformation in Ireland’s higher education and research system. Launched in 1998, the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions (PRTLI) ushered in a new era for research and innovation and fundamentally altered the research landscape in higher education.

The Transformations exhibition celebrates a decade of achievement by showcasing some of the research that impacts on our day-to-day lives; helping us to get around faster, to live longer and more fully, to plan more effectively and to understand our environment. Exhibits are fully interactive and designed to engage with the general public.
